WHAT: WASP Golf Classic and Dinner

WHERE: Nicklaus North Golf Course

WHEN: May 30

There are still a few spots available in a golf classic to benefit the Whistler Adaptive Ski Program, a non-profit organization that provides opportunities for people with all types of physical disabilities to ski, snowboard, and cross-country ski.

The funds raised from the golf classic will go towards WASP’s winter programs, as well as to help launch a comprehensive summer program for people with disabilities. The goal is to one day make Whistler the Canadian sports centre for disabled athletes, affiliated with the U.S. National Sport Centre for the Disabled in Winterpark, Colorado.

The golf tournament takes place at Nicklaus North Golf Club on May 30, and registration includes 18 holes, a premier gift bag, contests, a silent auction, cocktails and a gala awards dinner. The cost is $1,000 for a foursome.

If you can’t get a foursome together but are still interested in playing, contact the organizers and they will try to create a foursome for you.

The gala dinner is also open to the public for $60 per person, including the live auction, a guest speaker and more.

For more information, or to enter the WASP Golf Classic, call 604-905-2071.
