Submit nominations for Whistler’s Citizen of the Year 

The Whistler Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the annual Citizen of the Year award.

All citizens are encouraged to submit nominations for worthy candidates.

This yearly award has been handed out since 1969 in recognition of outstanding contributions from individuals for the benefit of the community.

Past Citizens of the Year include Gordon Leidal, Lil Goldsmid, Bob Calladine and Eileen Tomalty.

A selection committee made up of Mayor Hugh O’Reilly, various community members and past winners will decide on the 2004 Citizen of the Year.

The award will be presented at the Chamber luncheon on Wednesday, July 21 at the Rimrock Café.

Submit nominations via e-mail to or mail to: Whistler Chamber of Commerce, 201 — 4230 Gateway Drive, Whistler, B.C., V0N 1B4.

All nominations must be received by the Chamber no later than Sunday, July 4.
