Sun shines on first KVRS GS

A small field of skiers and telemarkers turned out for the inaugural Kokanee Valley Race Series event of the season, a giant slalom on Ross’s Gold Dec. 16

Conditions were soft and slushy, with temperatures of three degrees Celsius at mid-mountain.

The series continues on Thursday, Jan. 6 with another GS on Blackcomb. You can register in advance at any Whistler-Blackcomb Ski School Sales or Guest Relations location, or on the day of the race until 9:45 a.m. at the Rendezvous Lodge.
