Whistler RCMP were planning another search for Susanne Tam Thursday, July 25, but as of Pique’s press time Wednesday there was nothing new to report on the Whistler woman who has not been seen for nearly two weeks. Tam, 33 was last seen July 13. Her vehicle was located July 15 at the Rick’s Roost mountain bike trail and since then articles of her clothing have been found in the area of Rick’s Roost and on the Nicklaus North Golf Course. Friends and relatives arrived in Whistler last week to assist the RCMP in the search. On Monday Howe Sound School District Superintendent Doug Courtice issued an open letter to parents, staff and community members of the school district. Tam is a psychologist for the school district. "This occurrence is disturbing to colleagues, students and friends," Courtice wrote. Three help lines for parents have been established: 1-800-785-7370, 892-9215, 892-5228. A help line for staff has also been set up: 1-800-268-5211. A Tragic Event Committee has also been formed to provide direction, information and support. Information on the committee can be obtained from Courtice’s office at 892-5228. Anyone with any information on Tam’s disappearance is asked to contact the Whistler RCMP at 932-3044.
