Sweet sultry fundraiser

It’s all about the tease at Sweet Soul Burlesque’s naughty but nice cabaret show on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. at the Howe Sound Brew Pub.

The second annual fundraiser for Cedar Valley School in Squamish shakes things up with the Vancouver troupe harkening back to the late 1940s style of showmanship of tassel twirling and tongue-in-cheek theatrics.

Girls with names like Your Little Pony, Cara Milk and Starlet Bourbon will flaunt feathers and fannies for the playful show.

Sweet Soul has opened fashion shows for designers such as Betsy Johnson and performed at tour wrap up parties for the likes of Sarah McLachlan.

Dance sets from a local DJ will follow the tantalizing troupe, partying it up well into the night for the Waldorf-inspired school.

Tickets are $15.
