Tee off for Tony

Friends of the late Tony Tyler are hosting an all-day memorial golf tournament on Oct. 5 to honour his memory and raise money for his favourite charity, the Whistler Minor Hockey Association.

The tournament is called the Brew Ha Ha, a reference to the Tapley’s Brewers hockey team in the old-timers league, of which Tyler was a member.

It’s a two-parter, with a putting tournament in the morning at the Riverside Putting Greens and a golf tournament at 12:15 at the Whistler Golf Course. Both tournaments are shotgun starts.

The cost is $85, which includes green fees, refreshments, and draw prizes. There will also be mulligans for sale.

For more information, contact Dave Beattie at 604-938-1233 or Rob Griffin at Tapley’s Pub, 604-932-4811.
