KIDSFEST . Six plays are part of this children’s theatre festival March 8-9 in Squamish’s Eagle Eye Theatre.

COLOUR PASSAGES . An exhibition and sale of recent works by Mike Svob opens with a reception at the adele-campbell Fine Art Gallery in the Delta Whistler Resort March 10 at 7 p.m.

DINING OUT FOR LIFE . On Thursday, March 15 participating restaurants will donate 25 per cent of food revenues to Friends For Life and A Loving Spoonful, two AIDS-related charities.

AMBASSADORS NEEDED. The ninth annual Sierra Wireless, Air Canada Whistler Cup is an international juvenile ski race that attracts more than 300 skiers from 20 countries. Organizers are looking for volunteers as ambassadors April 4-9 to meet and greet the racers at the hotel, tour the village, accreditation office and attend the coaches meeting if requried. Both English and mulit-lingual ambassadors are needed. Call the Whistler Mountain Ski Club at 932-4644 to volunteer.

INTRODUCTION TO NORTHWEST COAST NATIVE ART. An informative lecture enhancing understanding of the art and culture of the Northwest Coast First People. Approximately 30 minutes long, Mondays at 2 p.m. and Thursdays at 8 p.m., Black Tusk Gallery on Main Street, 905-5540. All are welcome.


THE MEXICAN. Subtitled Love With the Safety Off, this action-comedy film features two of Hollywood’s hottest stars in Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts. At the Rainbow Theatre March 9-15, at 4:30 and 7 p.m.
