YENISEY A RIVER OF EXTREMES

. Film follows kayakers voyage through Mongolia and Siberia on the fifth longest river in the world. Screening is Nov. 30, 7 p.m. at the Howe Sound Inn Brew Pub in Squamish. Tickets are $10 advance, $12 at the door.

WAG PHOTOS WITH SANTA

. Have your dog?s photo taken with Santa Saturday, Dec. 1, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the gazebo in Town Plaza. For a $15 donation WAG is offering a 4x6 photo, a paw print frame, personalized ceramic tree ornaments, holiday dog cookies and warm beverages and sweets for people.

MONTESSORI CHILDREN?S CHRISTMAS FAIR.

Everyone, particularly artists under 12 and their parents, is invited to sell handmade Christmas items and gifts, decorations, baked goods, crafts and second hand items in good condition. . Ray Anderson, founder and chairman of Interface Carpets Inc., is the next speaker in the Leadership Through Sustainable Innovation series, part of the Natural Step program. Anderson will be speaking at the Whistler Conference Centre, Dec. 1 at 4:30 p.m.

DAVE SARKANY SLIDE PRESENTATION.

The Outdoor Adventure Leadership Program is hosting a slide presentation/silent auction evening Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. at Pemberton Secondary School. Dave Sarkany, will be showing slides of the Coast Range. Refreshments included in the $5 cover charge. Come out and support this fund-raiser and get a start on your Christmas shopping! WHISTLER WINTERSTART.

Annual kickoff to the winter season includes the Nokia FIS World Cup of snowboarding, ice sculpture competition, light displays, a photographers exhibition, Santa?s village, glowlight parade and more. Dec. 6-10.

EXTREMELY CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING

. Coming to Pemberton Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m., it?s Season?s Beatings. A Battle Royale, a grudge match, a young lions match, and the always popular women?s match are some of the highlights. The National Wrestling Association event, at the Pemberton Community Centre, is a fund-raiser for the Pemberton Youth Centre.
