PUBLIC ART OPENING.

Two pieces of public art, Whiskijack Balance by Douglas Taylor and Carving Turn by Jill Anholt, will be dedicated Saturday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. at the World Cup Plaza by Dusty’s in Whistler Creek.

EXTREMELY CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING

. Coming to Pemberton Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m., it’s Season’s Beatings. A Battle Royale, a grudge match, a young lions match, and the always popular women’s match are some of the highlights. The National Wrestling Association event, at the Pemberton Community Centre, is a fund-raiser for the Pemberton Youth Centre.

BEST OF BANFF MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL

. The Best of the Fest comes to Myrtle Philip school for two nights, Dec. 8 and 9, with different films screened each night. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., films at 7 p.m.

COMMUNITY BENEFIT CONCERT

. Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2:15 p.m. at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Local musicians celebrate the season. All donations, collected at the door, go to the Whistler Food Bank.

JUGGERNAUT JUG BAND

. Two performances by this authentic Kentucky jug band, Dec. 8 at St. David’s Church in Pemberton and Dec. 9 at Maurice Young Millennium Place in Whistler.

CHRISTMAS CHARITY MASTER FITNESS CLASS.
