Esq. Vancouver jazz quartet perform original pieces and classics. Part of the Season Your Winter jazz series at Maurice Young Millennium Place, Dec. 28 and 29.

SUBMERGE.

A teen dance at Meadow Park Sports Centre with a live DJ. The Dec. 29 event is a fund-raiser for the Whistler Youth Centre. Tickets are $10; fun starts at 9:30 p.m.

FIRST NIGHT.

An alcohol-free night of entertainment in the village on New Year’s Eve. Workshops, music, street entertainers, face painting, party hats – the whole shbang. But you can’t get in without a ticket, available from municipal hall, Meadow Park Sports Centre and the Myrtle Philip Community Centre.

Activities include ping pong, pool table, Playstation, Nintendo, Internet access, big screen projection TV, day and overnight trips and tons of other activities. Needed are donations of videos, games, Playstation and Nintendo games and any other "cool" stuff. For hours of operation call 935-8410.
