BETWEEN THE SHEETS 4. The Whistler Writers Group will be sharing their work at Chef Bernard’s on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. The mic will be open for anyone with a story, poem or song. Actors, writers, singers – anyone with ears – is invited to come out to this fun and informal evening.

THE WHISTLER ARTIST. Works by Gavin Livingston, Sharon Jensen and Helga Ruiterman are featured at an exhibition at Maurice Young Millennium Place. Opening reception is Jan. 24, 5-8 p.m. Show continues to Feb. 25.

BURNT TONGUE & IT’S ME, ONLY BETTER. Comedy comes to Maurice Young Millennium Place Jan. 25. Shannan Culcutt plays Izzy, a charming clown who wears a wedding dress in case she meets the man of her dreams. In Burnt Tongue her blind date doesn’t show. In It’s Me, Only Better the life jacket is the tip-off things aren’t going any better.

TELUS MOBILITY WINTER CLASSIC. The 10 th anniversary Whistler-Blackcomb Foundation fund-raising event includes a wine and cheese reception Jan. 25 at the Westin Resort and Spa. WHISTLER NORDIC YOUTH PROGRAM. Mondays from Jan. 14 to March 8 the Whistler Nordic Cross-country Club is running a youth club program for kids age 12 and up. The program runs from 5 to 7 p.m. each Monday at Lost lake Park. Contact Michelle Crowe at 604-932-4447 for information.

WHISTLER ANIMALS GALORE. WAG is now a registered charitable organization and can issue tax receipts for gifts and donations made.

MY YOUTH CENTRE. Now open at Maurice Young Millennium Place. Activities include ping pong, pool table, Playstation, Nintendo, Internet access, big screen projection TV, day and overnight trips and tons of other activities.
