RIDES TO THE POLLS>>

There will be free car rides to the election polls at Myrtle Philip School on Sat. Nov. 16. The rides will leave every hour starting at noon. Last ride leaves at 7 p.m. The pick up points are the Village Gate taxi loop, Sundial Crescent (by the Keg), Marketplace (by McDonalds) and Upper Village (by Intrawest Resort & Club). GIANT CHARITY RUMMAGE SALE>>

Zero Ceiling’s giant rummage sale will be from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sun. Nov.17 at Myrtle Philip School. Donations of clothes, ski and snowboard gear, and general household items can be dropped in from of the IGA between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sat. Nov. 9 and between 4 to 6 p.m. on Wed. Whistler’s original craft fair Bizarre Bazaar is on Sat. Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Delta Whistler Resort. Seventy artisans from Whistler, the Sea to Sky Corridor and Lower Mainland will be on hand with fine hand-crafted products including jewellery, bath and body products, ceramics, clothing, preserves, fine art, wood and glass products, candles, toys and Christmas decorations. Admission by donation.

CHIDLREN’S CHRISTMAS FAIR>>

The annual Alta Lake School Christmas Fair happens on Sat. Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children of all ages can take part in the making of special Christmas crafts, make candles, visit the Cookie House, sing carrols, and browse the beautiful hand made gifts and books.

MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS>>

Whistler’s fate lies in your hands. Get out and vote in the municipal elections on Sat. Nov. 16 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Myrtle Philip School. Two pieces of ID, including one picture ID are required if not registered. Voting in West Vancouver is at Rockridge Middle School on the same day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
