Tickets are on sale for Whistler’s non-alcoholic New Year’s Eve celebration which includes musicians, artists, psychics, street performers, facepainters and arts participation. Tickets are $15 each, $4 for kids 12 and under and are available at Municipal Hall, Myrtle Philip Community Centre and Meadow Park.

Blackcomb is open from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. From Dec. 12 to 15 the best snowboarders in the world will be on Blackcomb at the Nokia FIS World Cup. Snowboarders will compete in freestyle halfpipe, parallel giant slalom. The Snowboard-Cross and Big Air have been cancelled due to the lack of snow.

Whistler Mountain opened on Thursday, Nov. 28. Gondola runs daily from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
