Whistler Blackcomb announced its third consecutive year of record financial results early Monday morning, as part of fiscal year ending Sept. 30.
"This is a result that we're proud of especially considering the challenging conditions over the last two seasons," said president and CEO Dave Brownlie in the morning conference call. "Our financial performance clearly highlights the diversity of our operations as we generated strong revenue growth in our retail, rental and snow school ancillary businesses and welcomed the most sightseeing, hiking and bike park visits in our history."
That non-ski and ancillary business contributed to a three per cent increase in revenue to $262.3 million and a 0.3 per cent increase in adjusted EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) to $93 million for fiscal 2015.
The company also posted a 48.1 per cent increase in adjusted EBITDA to $3.2 million for the fourth quarter ending Sept. 30. This is due to a 14.6 per cent increase in revenue per visit.
