Tibetan culture at MY Place

The intricate and fast-disappearing traditions of Tibetan culture will be part of a presentation at MY Millennium Place on Sunday, Jan. 29.

Canadian photographer Brian Harris and one of the Dalai Lama’s closest confidants, Victor Chan, will be making presentations on their Tibetan experiences in a show entitled Himalayan Visions.

Harris, who is a devout Buddhist, uses his photography to raise money for Seva Canada, an organization that specializes in restoring eyesight and has helped thousands of people.

Chan is also the author of Tibet Handbook: A Pilgrimage Guide and was the Chair of the organizing committee for the Dalai Lama’s visit to Vancouver last year.

Tickets are $15 through Ticketmaster or at the door.
