On Sept. 7, local parents and children will have to make one of the most important decisions – what extracurricular activities to sign up for this year. There’s hockey, figure skating, dance, gymnastics, martial arts, skiing, snowboarding, the children’s choir, the cub scouts, the girl guides… The list is long.

To make things easier, the KidSport Whistler is hosting its annual Strut Your Stuff Whistler Community Registration and Information Fair at Whistler Secondary on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Strut Your Stuff brings community group leaders, coaches, parks and recreation staff, and extracurricular programmers together in one place at one time to make registration easier and more convenient for everybody involved.

The event also includes mini demonstrations and displays, as well as an equipment and clothing swap. If you require financial assistance, you can also pick up an application for a KidSport Grant.

If you are part of a community group and wish to reserve a display table, contact the Resort Municipality of Whistler Parks and Recreation front desk at 604-935-PLAY (7529). For more information, contact Sue or Sheila at Whistler Secondary, 604-935-8378.

The charge is $15 for non-profit and community service groups and $25 for commercial service groups and suppliers.
