New name and logo for Town Plaza Starting Dec. 16, the Sheraton Suites Whistler Town Plaza will have a new logo and a much shorter name, "Town Plaza Suites, Whistler." "Being affiliated with the Sheraton name was instrumental in establishing Whistler Town Plaza Suites in the marketplace when the hotel opened four years ago," says Drew Stotesbury, senior vice president and managing director of Powder Resort Properties. "However, after reassessing the cost/benefit considerations of maintaining this franchise... the decision was made to operate outside of the Sheraton umbrella." According to Stotesbury, the new entity will offer guests the same level of service as it has in the past.
