Highway 99 at the Alice lake Provincial Park intersection (40 kilometre cycle route) – The highway will be closed in both directions from approximately 9:20 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. on Sunday and there will be intermittent delays from about 9:40 a.m. to 10:10 a.m.

In its fifth year, the triathlon is becoming popular among athletes and relay teams for the terrain, the location and as a well-organized, well-executed event.

The Squamish Triathlon is a memorial to local triathlete Bob McIntosh, who was murdered on New Year’s Eve in 1997. This year the back of each bib will include a few paragraphs on McIntosh, the non-profit triathlon, and on the scholarship that was created in his name.
