Twenty-fifth annual Terry Fox Run Sept. 18

Twenty-five years ago Isadore Sharp made a personal commitment to Terry Fox to "keep his dream alive" and continue to raise funds for cancer research.

To carry on Terry’s legacy, Sharp, the chairman and CEO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, established The Terry Fox Foundation in Canada and created The Terry Fox Run in communities with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts presence. Employees of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts from over 50 countries pull together for one day to organize, participate and fundraise on behalf of Terry Fox and his inspiration to find a cure for cancer.

This Sept. 18 th , Four Seasons Resort Whistler will proudly lead The Terry Fox Run on behalf of the community and do their part for one of the most successful fundraising runs in the world. General Manager Scott Taber, a running enthusiast who weekly leads guests on the area’s trails, will mark an impressive 20 years of Terry Fox Runs at the finish line in Whistler’s Riverside Resort and Campground.

"I first learnt of this very special young Canadian and his dream when based in Texas and have never missed a run for this incredible individual," said Taber. "It’s an honour for all Four Seasons colleagues to contribute in so many ways and play a part in fundraising for cancer research."

Whistler’s Terry Fox Run is a 10 km fun-filled day for locals and visitors wishing to run or walk. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Riverside RV Resort with a 10 a.m. start. Festivities for the 25 th anniversary run include Guest of Honour Steve Podborski, performances by Whistler’s own Guitar Doug, founding Terry Fox Run volunteer Joanne Patek and nutritious post-run treats compliments of Four Seasons Resort.
