A warm up for Sunday’s Easter egg hunts will take place Saturday at the IGA Marketplace in the form of the annual spring used book sale.

The sale, which goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 10, is being held earlier than usual this year, in part to try and capitalize on the books that seasonal employees may not want to pack up with them when they leave Whistler.

Hundreds of used books, on every subject – classics, self-help, sports, paperback novels – will be available Saturday. There are also lots of magazines, particularly on gardening and home improvement, and there are more videos than usual.

Books, magazines and videos are for sale by donation.

All proceeds from the one-day sale will go to the Whistler Secondary and Spring Creek school libraries.
