Parks department still conscious of stream For those of you wondering where the water is in the Village North Park stream outside the BrewHouse, the municipal parks department would like to assure you everything is still flowing smoothly. "We'll turn on the water in the east site when the west site and village sites are complete," says parks planner Kevin McFarland. The east site is complete and work is underway on the west site. "That's the great big excavation site on Northland Boulevard." The village channel is being constructed by private contractors in the area just north of the library. "Private sector suites just finished construction along Northlands Boulevard. They've just finished their channel," explains McFarland. "We hope to do a test, perhaps in September, and the water will start to flow shortly after that. We know that's been promised a lot but when we're turning on the tap we have to have the water flowing someplace."
