Volleyballers back with two teams this year

The Whistler Women's Volleyball team is back and better than ever! The team has grown this year and managed to recruit some great, new players.

With more than 16 people coming out to practices on Wednesday nights at the high school, volleyballers are putting together two teams for the 2002-03 season.

Both teams, the Windermere Whistler Extreme team and the Wooshnet Whistler Cable team, are heading to Vancouver this weekend to participate in the British Columbia Volleyball Association tournaments on Nov. 16 and 17. Whistler Extreme will be playing in the Tier I/II tournament while Whooshnet Whistler Cable will be in the Tier II/III tournament. The teams are looking forward to some great competition as they take on teams from both Vancouver and the Island.

The Whistler Women's Volleyball teams will also be hosting a BCVA Tournament in Whistler on Nov. 23 at the high school. They invite spectators to come out anytime on Saturday for some great volleyball action.
