WAG washing dogs Saturday

Smokin' hot ribs for owners, homemade treats for dogs

Arrive with a dirty dog, and leave with a clean dog!

Join Whistler Animals Galore (WAG) on Saturday, July 10 between 11a.m. and 3 p.m. for their annual summer dog-wash fundraiser.

This year's event will feature a BBQ with fresh smokin' hot ribs courtesy of Terracraft Landscape and Patio Store, hamburgers and hotdogs and a bake sale of homemade items for you and your dog. Susan Holden, Whistler Folk Singer, will provide live entertainment between noon and 2 p.m.

"Last year's dog wash was fantastic fun," said Paula Del Bosco, WAG's executive director. "This year's event promises to be even better. We have lots of tubs and volunteers, and some amazing food ready to tempt your taste buds!"

WAG staff and volunteers will be at the Whistler Village fire hall Saturday for those who want to experience the pleasure of a fresh smelling dog. Suggested wash donation is $15.

All proceeds from the wash and BBQ and bake sale benefit the animals at the Whistler Animals Galore (WAG) shelter.
