Watershed, a 10 track compilation CD recorded by a group of local musicians under the name The Rutherford Creek Collective, sold 300 copies at its release event at Moe Joe’s last Sunday evening says creator/producer/recording artist Glenn Mishaw.

The CD was designed as a benefit project for the widow and infant son of Jamie Burnette, a victim of the washout of the Rutherford Creek Bridge just south of Pemberton during last October’s flooding in the Sea to Sky corridor. Mishaw spearheaded the project using funds donated by Whistler ResortQuest – the vacation-booking company from which Katie Burnette is currently on maternity leave – and was able to replicate 1,000 copies total of Watershed.

Because the CD was produced entirely on donated funds, all proceeds are to be donated to Katie Burnette. The CD is priced at $10 and is available at ResortQuest front desks, Whistler Music, The Boot Beer and Wine Store, Moe Joe’s and Nesters Market. Potential vendors include Bestsellers and The Pony Espresso in Pemberton.
