The hiring season will last until Oct. 1 covering both full and part-time work as well as volunteer placements. At least 20 per cent of the 1,900 positions are expected to be filled by foreign workers. "Over the next two months, we expect to meet with over 5,000 potential employees from across Canada and around the world," says Gord Aherns, director of Employee Experience. "With the increasing international popularity and continued growth of the Whistler resort, this year’s recruiting will be the largest ever." There will be jobs available in Building Services, Guest Relations, Ski and Snowboard schools, Food and Beverage and Lift Operations. Applicants can call the job-line at 604-938-7366 or apply in person at 4545 Blackcomb Way at the base of Blackcomb Mountain.
