Looking for Weasels The Warsteiner World Downhill is coming to Whistler Mountain Feb. 20-26, which means the Weasel Worker recruiting campaign in underway. The Weasel Workers are a select group of volunteers who prepare the downhill course. They are known around the skiing world for their incredible work ethic and their ability to overcome virtually any obstacle to put on a World Cup race. Weasel Workers have worked on downhill courses all over B.C., Alberta, the United States and Europe. They have been to the Olympics and seven will go to the World Alpine Championships in Sierra Nevada, Spain later this month. But their home base is the Dave Murray Downhill on Whistler Mountain. You can be a part of this. The Weasels are looking for new members to work at the Warsteiner World Downhill in February. Volunteers are needed for course work, security, gate judging and other positions. Anyone who would like to get involved should drop by the Whistler Mountain Employee Relations office at Whistler Creek and fill in an application.
