Despite a little rain and cold, almost 200 mountain bikers took part in the Whistler Physio-Portabello Loonie race on June 12, a grunt around Lost Lake trails, including Upper Panorama and No Horses, that finished up with a harrowing descent down a wet and slippery Rolo Coaster.

Tyler West finished the course in 32 minutes to take the Loonies, followed by Matt Bodkin and Michael Boehm.

Angela Teng continued her unbeaten streak as the first woman across the line in just over 40 minutes.

The top juniors were James Crowe and Brook Baker.

The next Loonie, which is sponsored by Whistler Chiropractic and Advance Sport Therapy is on June 26. The course is yet to be named.
