WHA launches election for resident housing representative

Voting kicks off Thursday for the Whistler Housing Authority's newest representative of resident housing, Marla Zucht the WHA general manager announced this week.

Voting kicks off Thursday for the Whistler Housing Authority's newest representative of resident housing, Marla Zucht the WHA general manager announced this week.

The resident housing representative will sit on the Whistler Housing Authority's board of directors for a three-year term, where they will act as a liaison for residents who live in WHA resident housing or are on the waitlist. The resident representative will also provide the board with insight from a Whistler resident housing occupant perspective.

Colin Pitt-Taylor, Nicolette Richer and Wendi Gabelhouse are the three candidates up for the position. They were selected following a request for Expressions of Interest.

Online voting commences Thursday, April 29 and continues until Wednesday May 5 on the housing authority's website at www.whistlerhousing.ca . Everyone from the Whistler community is welcome to participate through the WHA's secure and anonymous on-line system or by submission of a confidential ballot.
