Whistler Air Services will be starting a daily scheduled service between Whistler and the Vancouver International airport from Monday, Feb. 7. The service will use a combination of air travel between Vancouver and the Squamish airport and courtesy ground transportation between Squamish and Whistler. A 10-passenger single turbine Otter will be used for the flight portion of the trip, which takes about 20 minutes. A one-way fare will set travellers back $125, plus tax. Reservations can be made by contacting Whistler Air or at the Vancouver Airport at the Whistler Air check-in-in counter, located in the arrivals level of the domestic terminal. Tickets can also be purchased at Vancouver Tourism Infocentres at the Vancouver Airport. Whistler Air has provided aircraft services in the Sea to Sky Corridor since 1986. The new service will complement their scheduled summer service which runs twice daily between Whistler and the downtown Vancouver area June 1 through Sept. 30.
