Whistler Blackcomb's (WB) suite of passes is on sale - with the early-bird cutoff set at April 15.

Putting rumors to rest, the Vail Resorts-owned property will bring back its full range of passes, including its seniors' and parents' passes (Only parents who had passes last year are eligible. They have the option to purchase two Unlimited Season’s Passes for $1,499 —$749 per pass).

WB also announced a new product aimed at getting kids on the mountain. The Epic SchoolKids Whistler Blackcomb Pack will offer Canadian and Washington State Kindergarten through Grade five students five free days of skiing or riding at Whistler Blackcomb, along with one free lesson and rental.

"We are thrilled to offer Epic SchoolKids at Whistler Blackcomb next winter season. Fostering kids' passion for skiing and snowboarding and providing them with an experience of a lifetime is an important part of our company's mission," said WB CEO Pete Sonntag, in a press release.

The "pack" will be offered for a limited time, with the days kids can ski subject to holiday and peak restriction. Registration details will be shared this spring.

WB is also pushing its Epic Pass, adding a host of new B.C. resorts to the list of Vail Resort-owned properties it allows holders to ski for free at.

On Monday, March 5, Vail Resorts announced the inclusion of the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) in the 2018-19 Epic Pass.

Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and Kimberley Alpine Resort in British Columbia, Nakiska Ski Area in Alberta, and Mont Sainte Anne and Stoneham in Quebec will join the Epic Pass in a "long-term alliance."

As part of the RCR deal, Epic and Epic 7-Day pass holders will receive seven days of skiing or snowboarding with no blackout dates at RCR.

Following use of the seven days, pass holders will receive 50 per cent off additional lift tickets at RCR.

RCR Epic 4-Day Pass holders will get up to four days of skiing or snowboarding at RCR without blackout dates, after which they'll also be entitled to 50 per cent off additional lift tickets.

There are a host of other promotions connected to the various passes, including the Whistler Blackcomb unlimited pass and five- and 10-day Edge cards. Find out more at: https://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/plan-your-trip/lift-access/season-passes.aspx
