The new Harmony 6 Express chair on Whistler Mountain is all set to open to the public this Saturday, Dec. 14.

The Harmony Zone has long been a favourite of both locals and visitors alike. To mark the opening of the new chair Whistler Blackcomb, along with Switchback Entertainment, has produced a video looking back at the history of the iconic area, and how it has played a significant role in the progression of skiing and snowboarding over the years.

Titled The Wonder Reels S2: The Art of Progression and the New Harmony 6 Express it follows freeski icon Mike Douglas as he takes a ride on Whistler Mountain's new chair and explores the area. As he rides up the chair, Douglas goes back in time to recount the history of the Harmony Zone and the legends that came before him.

The video athletes are Mike Douglas, Justin Lamoureux, Suz Graham, Dave Fortin, Ian Morrison, James Heim and Kieran Nikula.
