Whistler-Blackcomb instructors reach highest level

The Whistler-Blackcomb Ski School graduated five new Level 4 instructors from a two-week Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance course at Sun Peaks last week.

The new Level 4 instructors are Steve Hancock, Garret Gentle, Tobin Leopke, Sami Chouinard and Darcy Trevelyan.

"The Whistler-Blackcomb Ski School has had a long history of strong training," said Russ Wood, training co-ordinator for Whistler-Blackcomb. "As a ski school there is a really strong training culture which has been developed through years of having top quality trainers as well as staff who are passionate about skiing.

"The Level 4 Training Academy is the pinnacle of a ski professional’s training, those people who succeeded this year have spent countless hours training over as many as 10 years. The training program becomes more of a guide or a coach at this level, these individuals deserve all the credit."
