Whistler is the next stop for provincial representatives who are promoting a “Think Asia” workshop across the province.

The workshop has a focus on the opportunities in the Chinese marketplace.

Michael Nicholas, manager of the Beijing Business Program for the B.C. Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Secretariat, said interest is growing in communities across the province, from Prince George to Kamloops and Whistler.

The workshop not only focuses on the issues that companies need to think about to be competitive in the Chinese marketplace but it also reviews opportunities at the B.C.-Canada Pavilion — the province’s home base in Beijing during the 2008 Summer Games.

The Think Asia Workshop: China 2008 will be held at the Chamber of Commerce boardroom on Friday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon. Hosted by the Whistler Forum, the workshop costs $20 per person. Call 604-938-9132 for information.
