Those looking for some classic Christmas spirit will want to make sure not to miss tonights concert by the Whistler Childrens Chorus.
Currently under the direction of Alison Hunter, the 14-year-old chorus will be presenting a selection of older carols and pageant-style readings more in tune with Dickens than an animated Frosty the Snowman TV special.
The 80-member chorus is actually three separate ensembles, divided by Grades 1 through 3, 4 through 6 and the honour choir featuring voices from students Grades 7 through 12.
Tonights concert takes place at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Hall at 7 p.m. Admission is free with a donation of a non-perishable item for the Whistler Food Bank. The Chorus will also participate in the community carol service at the Telus Conference Centre at Whistler on Dec. 24.
