Whistler Library has just released its fall lineup of events, lectures and screenings with everything from an astronomy seminar and personal-finance help, to an evening with local bear expert Michael Allen and screenings of blockbuster movies.
Right after Labour Day, the library kicks off a jam-packed calendar with Earthsave Film Screening on Sept. 6, among the weekly film events. An astronomy seminar is scheduled for Sept. 15, plus a special two-hour session with bear expert Allen is scheduled for Sept. 27.
Some events require registration, such as language courses, leadership events and a tech series that begins Sept. 20. Rounding out the events are Money Matters courses, book-club get-togethers, and information sessions on everything from arthritis and medication, to nutrition and women’s self-defence workshops.
