Local police are requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect who allegedly shoplifted from a village store last month.

Whistler RCMP said the female suspect was seen on security footage the evening of March 14 stealing a Nixon watch and bracelet, all valued at $400, from a retail store in the 4200 block of Mountain Square. The video showed her “sifting through the bracelets and the counter, grab one and tuck it inside her jacket,” according to an email from Staff Sgt. Steve LeClair. The suspect then grabbed the watch and tucked it inside her jacket before leaving the store without paying, police said.

The suspect is described as Caucasian with short blonde hair, in her mid-40s.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044.
