The nine teams that showed up to the play in the annual Whistler Alpenglow ultimate tournament got the full Whistler experience last weekend, playing in sun, wind, rain and sprinklers, which someone forgot to turn off.

Although they struggled on the first day, the Whistler Frostbite team picked up in the second day.

"Basically the first day was windy, and we’re not used to that and we lost. The second day was rainy with no wind, which we are very used to, and we did a lot better," says team organizer Tasso Lazaridis.

On the second day the Frostbite lost a close consolation final against Idle Hands, the fourth ranked team in the country. The game went so well that Idle Hands is coming up this weekend for a rematch.

Ro Sham Bo, the current nationals champions, dominated all weekend and won the tournament.

Alpenglow organizers would like to thank the Dubh Lin Gate, IGA and Little Mountain Bakery for their support.
