Whistler Secondary School — Science fair Results

The annual Grade 7 and 8 Science Fair was particularly well attended this year. Students, working individually or in pairs, mounted 82 different projects for the judges to evaluate.

The annual Grade 7 and 8 Science Fair was particularly well attended this year. Students, working individually or in pairs, mounted 82 different projects for the judges to evaluate. At the close of the show, the results of tallying the judges scores was as follows:

Grade 7

1 st place: Conrad Pridy and Ben Pickering, Magnet Therapy

2 nd place: Robbie Laird and Charlie Calladine, Steam Engines

3 rd place (tie: Tom Braidwood, Pin Hole Cameras

Blaine Vernon-Jarvis, Preventing Venice from Sinking

Hon. Mention: Sven Winter and Jesse Juniper, Lights and Mirrors

Grade 8

1 st place: Josh Mann and Duffy McCarthy, Battle of the Deodorants

2 nd place: Chris Blount, Temperature and Bouncing Balls

3 rd place: Danielle Robson and Brittany Kingsett, Human Memory
