The Whistler Mountain Ski Club wrapped up the 2003-04 season last weekend with the annual Awards and Coaches Appreciation Night.

It’s been a long season for the athletes, with training sessions and contests in Europe and across Canada and B.C. It was also a successful season, with many athletes finishing on top.

The evening started with the athlete awards, acknowledging outstanding performances as well as the most improved athletes at each level, and the most sportsmanlike.

The coaches were also celebrated for all of their hard work. FIS coach Igor Dostal announced his retirement after eight great years with the WMSC and B.C. Ski Team, and will move on to other interests.

Sead Causevic, Rob Boyd and Jordan Williams, the head coaches for the K1, K2 and FIS programs respectively were also acknowledged for their hard work.
