Whistler to host plant sale

Friends of the Whistler Public Library and the Whistler Garden Club are deep in preparations for the club’s annual garden sale, to take place June 21.

The sale’s proceeds are split between the two organizations, with the bulk of it going towards the Friends. Organizers are currently seeking people to pot up plants from their gardens and donate them to the sale. Any information the donor can provide about the plant is highly appreciated.

The sale itself will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Marketplace parking lot and will run from 10 a.m. to noon. All donated plants will be available at the sale, along with bags of soil amendment for $5 each.

Anyone interested in participating should contact Jane Reid at 604-932-3665 or over e-mail at janemcreid@yahoo.com.
