Whistler Youth Foundation now accepting grant applications

The Whistler Youth Foundation is accepting applications for the January, 2008 grant opportunity.

The WYF, a division of the Community Foundation of Whistler, is a youth-run organization whose members are dedicated to supporting youth-orientated programs through grants and through their own volunteering.

The concept of having young adults allocating grants to youth-orientated projects is a concept that the Whistler community can benefit from.   In the end, the youth in this community know what will, or won’t, fly.

In the past the WYF has provided grants to organizations such as the Whistler Chorus, the WSS Drama Club, the Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation and the Pemberton Dragon Boat Team.

The WYF will review all applicants that have a charitable status or are supported by an organization that is a registered charity. The deadline for all applicants is Feb. 18 th and the grant cap is $500.
