On Wednesday, Feb. 8, Tourism Whistler announced 10 randomly selected finalists that could win a month in Whistler for two, complete with travel costs, limo to Whistler, a house for a month, bus passes, ski passes, two sets of ski or snowboard gear from K2, a replacement salary worth up to $4,200. As well, the winners will get up to 15 free "Would You Do It?" experiences in Whistler that were showcased online at wouldyoudoit.whistler.com worth thousands of dollars, ranging from dinner for two at some of Whistler's best restaurants to heli-skiing.
The lucky finalists are: Alan Klein from Los Angeles, California; Andrea Moore from Kirkland, Washington; Doug McEnteer from Etobicoke, Ontario; Josiane Stephenson from Vancouver; Luke Dillon from London, England; Peter Jackson from Calgary, Alberta; Roen Janyk from Kelowna; Sarah Heaven from Warwichshire, England; and Tia Tauscher from Spokane County, Washington.
The contest has been live since Oct. 17, and tens of thousands of people entered from Canada, the U.S., the U.K. and Australia.
Each finalist has to submit 250 words on what a Whistler sabbatical would mean for them, and a winner will be selected by the panel of judges on Feb. 20.
