Who does what at the Leisure and Travel Group

Some of the members of the senior leadership team in Intrawest’s new Leisure and Travel Group working under co-presidents Hugh Smythe and Dan Jarvis:

Jim Gibbons — continues as president of IROC and will take a leadership role in developing the group’s business strategy as well as an initiative to broaden the impact of IROC across the company.

David Barry — will be executive vice president and chief operating officer of Intrawest Colordo and will have overall responsibility for commercial operations across all resorts. He will also join the board of Alpine Helicopters, owners of CMH.

Steve Rice — will be executive vice president and chief operating officer, Eastern Region. He will continue to have responsibility for all eastern resorts, in addition to risk management and operations project management within the Leisure and Travel Group.

Dave Brownlie — is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Whistler-Blackcomb and Panorama, providing overall leadership for these operations.

Doug Forseth — senior vice president of operations at Whistler-Blackcomb, will now report to Brownlie. Forseth will also lead the company’s focus and preparation for the 2010 Games.

Jeff Stipec — will be executive vice president and chief operating officer Lodging and Golf. He will continue to have responsibility for Intrawest Golf and will now be responsible for building Intrawest’s lodging business. He will also provide overall leadership for Lake Las Vegas, the Village at Squaw Valley and Sandestin.

David Creasy — is the executive vice president and chief financial officer for the Leisure and Travel Group. Also has responsibility for financial reporting and controls, business planning and analysis, and information systems, including the corporate tech centre.

Michael Hannan — is the executive vice president strategic and corporate development with primary executive responsibility for active travel and new business initiatives. Resort Reservations will report to Hannan on an interim basis.

Andrew Voysey — will be executive vice president of acquisitions and joint ventures.

Two positions remain unfilled within the Leisure and Travel Group: executive vice president of marketing and sales; executive vice president of culture and leadership development.

Intrawest’s real estate division was recently renamed Intrawest Placemaking. Gary Raymond continues as chief executive officer of that division.

Raymond, Smythe, Jarvis and Intrawest Chairman, President and CEO Joe Houssian form the senior executive management committee of Intrawest.
