Winning weekend for minor hockey 

There were only a few games on the calendar this week as league play winds down for Christmas, but of the five games played by Whistler Minor Hockey teams, four went Whistler’s way. The Bantam Rep team added a pair of wins to their record, including a shutout against a team from Whatcom, Washington.

Three girls will be trying out for the Zone 5 girl’s U18 hockey team for the B.C. Winter Games in Trail this February at a camp on Dec. 30 and 31. The players are Sophie Doyle, Nadine Crowe, Kelsey Martin.

Bantam C1 (8-7-2) defeat West Van; score 7-2

Vision Pacific Bantam C2 (6-4-6) defeat West Van C1; 1-0

Bantam Rep (14-3-2) defeat Cloverdale;10-7

Bantam Rep (15-3-2) defeat Whatcom County; 5-0

Boston Pizza Midget Girls (4-11-1) lose to Surrey; 3-1
