Winter wonders on canvas

What: Joy of Winter reception

Where: adele-campbell Fine Art Gallery

When: Saturday, Nov. 30

For those complaining of the cold, it’s time to get out from under the covers and hit the air-conditioned comfort of the adele-campbell Fine Art Gallery.

There’s a winter celebration on that should shake you out of that shivering shell in no time. It’s the Joy of Winter art exhibition, well-known among local art-lovers and one of the most popular collections of the year.

Adele-campbell staffer, Vicky Bunbury, said the art exhibition is now in its eighth year and showed no signs of abating.

"Landscape scenes of winter are always well received probably because they invoke so many moods, and emotions in us," she said.

The adele-campbell Fine Art Gallery has become synonymous with showing outstanding B.C. artists, especially fresh local talent. Many of the artists will be standing by their creations at the opening reception Saturday, ready to chat with interested on-lookers and presumably also to keep grubby paws at bay. Get in quick if you plan to buy as many of the pieces are already pre-sold.

The exhibition will continue through the month of December.
