The grand total on Monday’s Whistler Mountain Ski Club Bike-A-Thon around the bike park was 34 riders, 100 laps, three endos, and two broken chains.

They also earned pledges for completing the laps. The top earner was Kyle Oser, a K1 racer who raised over $650 for his season. Next in line was K2 Sara Naltras with $535 and K2 Morgan Pirdy with $326.

Jerry McArthur, an accomplished cross-country racer, was the fastest rider of the day.

The ski club also held it’s annual ski swap as part of the turkey sale, charging people $2 for each item they sold through the club. While the final numbers aren’t in, the club called it one of the most successful events in recent memory, thanks largely to the support of Whistler-Blackcomb, the municipality and the business community.
