The inaugural Womenzworx program debuted at Crankworx on Monday and Tuesday, with riders benefiting from free lift tickets, discounted clinics, a gala party and a pro-am competition where riders were judged on how they handled four different obstacles around the Whistler Mountain Bike Park — the jump sequence at the start of Freight Train to Goat’s Gully, the Schleyer ladder bridge drop, selected features in the Boneyard, and the last three jumps of A-Line.

Claire Buchar placed first overall in the pro category with a score of 42.5, followed by Gale Dahlgar of Wyoming with a 37.5, Kathy Pruitt from California with a 34.7, and Lynne Aitchison from Scotland with a 34.2.

In the amateur category, the top score went to Casey Brown of Revelstoke with a 31.8. Danice Uyesugi of North Vancouver was second with a 31.5, and Anne Laplante of Quebec placed third with a 30.3.
