The Whistler Off-Road Cycling Association is hosting its annual bike swap fundraiser on Saturday, April 24 in Creekside.

Last year the bike swap raised over $3,150 for WORCA, which went towards youth programs in the valley like the summer dirt camps. The money also went towards the ‘WORCA bucks’ program that awards money to young riders for volunteering and participating in mountain bike community activities. The bucks can be redeemed for professionally coached programs hosted by the Single Track Off Road Mountain Bike Club (STORMBC).

If you have a bike or biking accessories to sell, bring them by the bike swap between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. The events runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It costs $2 to sell a bike at the bike swap, plus a commission of 10 per cent off items that sell for over $1,000 and over and 15 per cent off items that sell for under $1,000.

This event is also an opportunity to get your WORCA membership for the 2004 season. The cost is $40 for adults, $30 for youth and $90 for families, which includes insurance through Cycling B.C.
