Library demonstrates how to withdraw from data bank Even in this late stage of the 20th century there are still those of us who always take the wrong off-ramp on the information superhighway, have a hard time with hard drives and get lost in search engines. This could all be virtually over soon with the introduction of a new instruction program. Both the Whistler and Squamish public libraries are in receipt of a grant to help the general public upgrade their internet knowledge. The money has come from Youth@BC and will be put to use creating a Sea-To-Sky Youth Net on the world wide web, as well as providing free Internet training for Joe Public. Two students have already been hired to undertake the project. Every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Whistler's public library they will be providing free individualized Internet training during the months of July and August. Of course space is limited so call 932-5564 to pre-register. From there it's only a matter of time before you join Anoraks Anonymous.
