Share the wealth Meeting to compile youth resources (chris woodall) Whether you're an interested individual or a group with something to offer Whistler's teenagers and young adults, your chance to share your resources comes Thursday, Dec. 12, at Whistler Secondary school, beginning at 7 p.m. "We want to develop an inventory of people and organizations to see what resources we have available in Whistler," says community co-ordinator Sheila Mozes. "We need you at this meeting!" Such resources includes groups with programs or activities that can involve youth, or individuals with special talents that can be called on to teach or assist youth, Mozes explains. Once an inventory is established, a follow-up meeting will be set for spring, this time for youth to discover what they can get into. One of the December meeting's highlights will be a presentation of the "Heroes program" by the Red Cross and the municipality. Mozes describes the Heroes program as a safety and risk management experience for youth to feel proud about taking the safe way in their rambunctious attitude to sporting activities, or in their personal lives. For more information about the Dec. 12 meeting, call Mozes at 938-3133.
